Wikimedia Awareness And Training Among University of Uyo Students

    Objective

    This project is to create awareness about Wikimedia projects and also training students of the University of Uyo on how to contribute to Wikipedia and its sister's projects.

    Work plan

    • Create awareness on campus.
    • Support participants to Sign in or Create a New Account on Wikipedia.
    • Introduce Wikimedia projects – Wikipedia and wikidata
    • Hands-on training: Editing articles on English Wikipedia; Adding and improving Wikidata items

    Timeline for the project

    • August 1st - August 7th: Create awareness about the project on campus
    • August 8th: Physical Training on Wikipedia
    • August 15th: Virtual Session on Wikidata Training
