Wikipedia's global virtual birthday party is available to watch back on YouTube and Wikimedia Commons.

  • An ode to de talk page: Honoring de debates, detours, den consensus-building wey dey make Wikipedia... Wikipedia.
  • Musical performances: Pieces created with Wikipedia and Wikimedia content, composed for the editors powering the projects.
  • Wikipedia games: A chance to test your knowledge to win freshly minted, special-edition Wikipedia 25 merch.
  • Spotlights on Wikipedians everywhere: Stories from across regions and generations.
  • Special guest appearances: Because every great birthday needs a few unexpected cameos and some longtime favorites.

How to join

The party streamed on the Wikimedia Foundation website in six languages – Arabic, Chinese, French, English, Portuguese and Spanish.

Viewers also had the option of streaming on Wikipedia’s YouTube channel, though that channel was only available in English.

Both channels will have a chat and opportunities to win prizes!
