Open Heritage Scope

Dear @SanBonne, thanks for holding this competition. As your information mentions "To increase the quantity and quality of structured data on Wikidata relating to the Islamic Golden Age, scholars, architectural heritage, arts, and historical literature." Since I'm Indonesian and as far I know Indonesia (or known as Nusantara coverage including some ASEAN countries) has specific Islamic kingdom era. Let's say we have kesultanan or Islamic kingdom in Indonesia with some Sunan (man who spread Islam to certain region peacefully). Hello @SanBonne, thank you for your previous clarification regarding the international scope of the Open Heritage–Wikidata Contest.

I would like to confirm one more point. Are historical mosques in Indonesia also included in the scope of items that can be counted for points in this competition, as long as they have clear historical or heritage significance and are supported by reliable sources?

For example, I have worked on Masjid Tua Bungku (Q97222348)and Masjid Jongaya (Q109439887) an old mosque in Indonesia that has historical and cultural heritage value. Would edits to an item like this be eligible to be counted in the competition?

Event time / registration deadline

How are edits counted

I just added my language to an item, how are these counted in the contest? When I tried to paste the rev id, it says: Add an edit on a target wiki of the event. I.Mahesh (talk) 01:49, 1 September 2026 (UTC)

Oh, I see.. Rules got changed a few minutes before the contest starts. I think I'm dropping, as revised scope was too narrow for me and prize money got halved in last minutes.

Also your work is good, @DaSupremo but please provide at least one reliable source for your item mentioning the page number, to be counted in the contest:

The reference should be added correctly to wikidata item that you've created. These works for example, don't have any references: Bahrain's merchant house (Q141276460), Mosque of Ghiyath al-Din (Q141250320), Abu Zaidan Mosque (Q141276450) etc... SanBonne (talk) 09:06, 4 September 2026 (UTC)

نعم المسابقة متعلقة بالعمارة الإسلامية فقط هذه المرة والعامل المحدد هو وجود مراجع لإضافتها لعنصر ويكي بيانات إذ لن يحتسب العنصر ما لم يرفق بالمرجع مدعومًا برقم الصفحة.

هل اضافة المرجع لكل عنصر مضاف مثلاً هناك مدارس ومساجد اضيف المصدر لصفحة العنصر في خاصية موصوف في المصدر وتكون كل المعلومات المضافة من هذه المصدر مع اضافته لبعض الخصائص الهامة Shohdi Alsofi (talk) 22:17, 4 September 2026 (UTC)

استفسار

هل المطلوب هو استخراج المباني والتراث الإسلامي من الكتب التي تم الإشارة إلي استخدامها كمصادر أم إنشاء عناصر عن مساجد حديثة (غير موجودة في الكتب) واستخدام مراجع مثل الموقع الغلكتروني للمسجد

حيث انني قمت بإنشاء عنصر عن مسجد حديث في هولندا ولم استخدم أي من الكتب كمصادر، فهل هذا مقبول ؟

جزيل الشكر لسؤالك، تهتم المسابقة بتوثيق المعالم الموجودة في الكتب مصدرًا لها، إذ لا تعد جميع المواقع الإلكترونية مصدرًا موثوقًا للمعلومات.

يمكنك إضافة مصادر من كتب أخرى إضافية ولكن نرجو أن تكون متاحة عبر الإنترنت للتأكد من صحة الإضافة.

استخدمت قائمة من ويكيبيديا الإنجليزية عن مساجد في هولندا ومعظمها غير موجودة في ويكي بيانات أو موجودة ومعلوماتها قليلة

ومن هذه المساجد ما هو حديث (بني منذ أقل من 100 عام) فلذلك هي غير موجودة في الكتب

سؤالين بخصوص العناصر ومصادرها

لدي سؤالين.. أولا بخصوص المصادر: هل يشترط الاستعانة بالكتب فقط كمصادر ولا تُقبل على سبيل المثال المواقع الإخبارية؟ وثانيا بخصوص عناصر: هل يشترط أن أقوم بإنشاء عنصر جديد غير موجود في ويكي بيانات أم يُمكنني أن أضيف 5 خواص فأكثر إلى عنصر موجود بالفعل ولكن يحتوي على خصائص قليلة وغير كافية؟ Origamos (talk) 00:10, 14 September 2026 (UTC)

فيما يخص المصادر، نعم المصادر هي الكتب لوثوقيتها العالية، ويمكنك إضافة 5 خواص على الأقل لمادة موجودة مع دعمها بالمصادر حصرًا، وليس فقط إضافة التفاصيل.
