Exploring the Soul of Villages in Adana: Showcasing Culture Through Photography

Project Overview

This project aims to document the culture, daily life, and natural landscapes of villages in Adana, Turkey. By capturing high-quality photographs using professional cameras, the project will create a visual archive showcasing the unique traditions, crafts, and environments of rural communities. The collected images will be uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, making them freely accessible for educational and research purposes.

Additionally, the project seeks to improve Wikipedia pages related to these villages. The gathered photographs and information will be used to enhance existing articles or create new ones, ensuring better representation of these rural areas on Wikipedia. This will help promote local heritage, increase knowledge about village life, and support open-access information initiatives.

The project also aims to encourage collaboration between Wikimedia volunteers, cultural institutions, and local communities.
