Fante Wikimedians Community/Feminism and Folklore 2025
Appearance

As part of the Feminism and Folklore 2025 campaign, this event focuses on documenting folk cultures and amplifying the voices of women in folklore on Fante Wikipedia and other Wikimedia platforms.
This interactive talk and workshop will provide participants with a platform to explore, research, and contribute to the preservation of Ghana’s rich folk traditions while increasing the visibility of women in folklore from different regions of the world.
In addition to folklore documentation, the event also introduced participants to both the international and local editions of the Feminism and Folklore contest, guiding them on how to contribute through writing, translation, and multimedia content on Wikimedia projects.
