Nederlands: Zes barnstenen kralen met zeven koperen ringetjes, deel van de inventaris van het graf van een vrouw uit Meteren, uit de IJzertijd. De kralen en ringen zijn rond de schedel bij de slapen gevonden en zijn waarschijnlijk gebruikt als haarversiering. De oorspronkelijke draagwijze van de ringen is niet bekend. De ringen zijn op maat geknipt uit een plaat van een koperlegering, waarbij de stroken van breed naar smal zijn geknipt. Aan de ene kant is een haakje uitgehamerd en in de andere is een gaatje gemaakt. Door de strip rond te buigen, ontstond een ring die je kon openen en sluiten.De barnstenen kralen die aan de ringen zijn geregen, zijn van verschillende afmetingen en alle voorzien van geboord gat. Enkele kralen vertonen slijtagesporen, wat eropt duidt dat de ringen veelvuldig zijn gedragen. Afmetingen: diameter 2.0 cm.
English: Six amber beads with seven brass rings, part of grave inventory from the middle Iron Age. Found around the skull at the temples and therefore very likely ornamentation. Found in Meteren. Current posting: GAC Museum Valkhof Nijmegen, The Netherlands.
