Summary

Description
English: Dead trees in the terraces of Canary Spring at Mammoth Hot Springs, Yellowstone National Park grew during inactivity of the mineral-rich springs, and were killed when calcium carbonate carried by spring water clogged the vascular systems of the trees. Crepuscular rays are seen in the steam emerging from the hot springs.
Français : Des arbres morts dans les terrasses des Mammoth Hot Springs, dans le parc national de Yellowstone. Ces arbres ont poussé durant une période d'inactivité, puis ont été tués lorsque leurs vaisseaux ont été bouchés par le carbonate de calcium apporté par les eaux très minéralisées de la source. Des rayons crépusculaires sont visibles dans la vapeur s'échappant des sources.
