English: Wikimania 2018 presentation titled "Working towards Growing Local Language Content on Wikipedia (GLOW)" that was live-broadcast on Facebook Live from the Odia Wikipedia channel.
With support from Google, Wikimedia Foundation started a project called "Project Tiger" in India, and supported several Wikimedians with laptops and Internet connectivity. As a result of these all, the recipient of laptops/Internet connectivity improved their respective language Wikipedia articles that are searched the most on Google. In a session at Wikimania 2018 Cape Town, Odia Wikimedian Jnanaranjan Sahu detailed about the participation of Odia and other language Wikipedias. The session was broadcast live on Facebook. It was moderated by Jack Rabbah of Wikimedia Foundation, and Punjabi Wikimedian Rupika Sharma represented the Punjabi Wikipedia community and shared about the role of the Wikimedia community in this process.ଓଡ଼ିଆ: ୨୦୧୮ ଉଇକିମାନିଆରେ ହୋଇଥିବା "Working towards Growing Local Language Content on Wikipedia (GLOW)" ଶୀର୍ଷକ ପ୍ରେଜେଣ୍ଟେସନ । ଏହା ପ୍ରଥମେ ଫେସବୁକ ଲାଇଭ ଜରିଆରେ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଉଇକିପିଡ଼ିଆର ଫେସବୁକ ଚ୍ୟାନେଲରୁ ସିଧା-ପ୍ରସାରଣ ହୋଇଥିଲା ।
ଗୁଗଲ ସହାୟତାରେ ଉଇକିମିଡ଼ିଆ ଫାଉଣ୍ଡେସନ ଭାରତରେ "ପ୍ରୋଜେକ୍ଟ ଟାଇଗର" ନାମକ ଏକ ପ୍ରକଳ୍ପ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରି କିଛି ଉଇକିଆଳିଙ୍କୁ କମ୍ପ୍ୟୁଟର ଓ ଇଣ୍ଟରନେଟ ଯୋଗାଇଥିଲା । ଏହାର ଫଳସ୍ୱରୂପ ଉକ୍ତ ଉଇକିଆଳି ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଭାଷାର ବାକି ଉଇକିଆଳିମାନେ ନିଜ ନିଜ ଭାଷାରେ ଗୁଗୁଲରେ ଅଧିକ ଖୋଜାହେଉଥିବା ବିଷୟଗୁଡ଼ିକରେ ନିଜ ନିଜ ଭାଷାରେ ପ୍ରସଙ୍ଗଗୁଡ଼ିକର ମାନ ଉନ୍ନତ କରିଥିଲେ । ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ଆଫ୍ରିକାର କେପ ଟାଉନଠାରେ ନିକଟରେ ହୋଇଥିବା ଉଇକିପିଡ଼ିଆର ବାର୍ଷିକ ସମ୍ମିଳନୀ ଉଇକିମାନିଆରେ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଉଇକିଆଳି ଜ୍ଞାନରଞ୍ଜନ ସାହୁ ଏହି ପ୍ରକଳ୍ପ ଓ ଲିଖନ ପ୍ରତିଯୋଗିତାରେ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଉଇକିପିଡ଼ିଆ ଓ ବାକି ଉଇକିପିଡ଼ିଆମାନଙ୍କ ଯୋଗଦାନ ବାବଦରେ ବର୍ଣ୍ଣନା କରିଥିଲେ । ଅଧିବେଶନଟି ଫେସବୁକ ଲାଇଭ କରାଯାଇଥିଲା । ଅଧିବେଶନଟିକୁ ଉଇକିମିଡ଼ିଆ ଫାଉଣ୍ଡେସନ ତରଫରୁ ଜ୍ୟାକ ରାବା ପରିଚାଳନା କରିଥିବା ବେଳେ ପଞ୍ଜାବୀ ଉଇକିଆଳି ରୂପିକା ଶର୍ମା ଏହି ପ୍ରତିଯୋଗିତାର ବିଜେତା ପଞ୍ଜାବୀ ଉଇକିପିଡ଼ିଆ ତରଫରୁ ଏଥିରେ ଉଇକିଆଳିମାନଙ୍କର ଭୂମିକା ବାବଦରେ ବର୍ଣ୍ଣନା କରିଥିଲେ । |
