Description
English: The Italian Carabinieri Department for the Protection of Cultural Heritage -TPC supports international police cooperation via INTERPOL and UNESCO to stop the illicit trafficking of cultural property, and has also carried out support activities during peacekeeping operations (as in Iraq between 2003 and 2006). The TPC department works in close cooperation with UNESCO and represents an international reference for many countries that seek to improve their policies and procedures for countering illicit trafficking of cultural objects. Twenty-six countries from all over the world have benefited from training courses for their police forces and customs agents.
Română: Departamentul Italian de Carabinieri pentru Protecția Patrimoniului Cultural (TPC) cooperează cu INTERPOL și UNESCO pentru a stopa traficul de obiecte de cultură și participă la activități de menținere a păcii (de ex. Irak în 2003-2006). TPC colaborează strâns cu UNESCO și sunt un exemplu pentru alte țări care doresc să își amelioreze politicile și procedurile de combatere a traficului de obiecte de cultură. 26 de țări din întreaga lume au beneficiat de instructaj oferit de polițiștii și grănicerii membri ai TPC.
