Transparent version now, I though it'd be good to add one.

With this, I'm making a simpler version of the flower idea. All colors (except black and white of course) are primary in one way or another.

It's supposed to look a wee bit like a compass rose. NE, NW, SE, and SW are unfilled, but hey, that is good symbolism! Pointy brackets around "wikipedia" are an allusion to HTML.

I like the flower itself. I don't like the brackets and the subtitle (too thin text/lines, the HTML allusion is IMHO a bit too much for non-geeks; besides, we're trying to phase out HTML and use wikitext only).—Eloquence 12:29 30 Jul 2003 (UTC)
Okay, here's a couple versions with bolder brackets. This time, the title is made to look like a hyperlink, which is a necessity whether using either wikitext or raw HTML. I have one with it on top and one with it on bottom, and I think I'll add one of them (and change the version of A to transparent) to the index of submissions.—JeffTL 15:18 30 Jul 2003 (UTC)

Too similar to Independentist flag (Taiwan) --Kaihsu 18:19 1 Aug 2003 (UTC)

I really like it -- as with some tattoo designs, I say get rid of the black line -- It can detract from the look. Without it though, it migh look a little too NBC peackock like. Second -- transparency looks chopped. I dont use a white background at all --I use dark or black. Take a look at the Frost logo here http://jtcfrost.sourceforge.net/ and change your background to different colors. This has one of the best implementations of ubiquitous transparency Ive ever seen. No jaggies. -S-

I played around with your idea. again, I like it alot. I think the black works now. Not sure about the color choices. Eh. -Stevertigo 03:16 5 Aug 2003 (UTC)

--- This is a copycat of icq logo http://icq.com isn't it?... I am reporting you to the copycat police!

Really, this doesn't look like ICQ or the Independentist Taiwanese flag. ICQ's flower is quite different and the Taiwan thing is only similar on the vaguest levels. I'll try to stick together another version or two before the deadline, if I can. --JeffTL 17:17, 19 Aug 2003 (UTC)

I know it's a coincidence. But it really looks like ICQ! --Menchi 08:33, 23 Aug 2003 (UTC)
