Filling Health Articles Content Gap through Translate-A-Thon in Fulfulde Wikipedia
Background
[edit]The aim of this activity is to increase awareness and understanding of the importance health related articles would serve among the Fulfulde-speaking community. We believe speakers of this language who are mostly herders and farmers living in rural settlements lack the basic knowledge and awareness about health related topics. We aim to address this challenges and many others like limited access to health information, health facilities, diseases, and medications in the Fulfulde language, as well as a lack of representation of these topics on the Fulfulde Wikipedia.
By empowering editors with the necessary skills and knowledge, we aim to foster the creation of high-quality content in Fulfulde language related to healths, thus promoting greater awareness and understanding within the Fulfulde-speaking community.
