This page is designed to coordinate GLAM activities in Italy.

GLAM Wiki activities in Italy are implemented by Wikimedia Italia, Wikimedia Italia coordinators, volunteers, professionals and other institutions. Everyone is invited to implement GLAM Wiki activities in Italy, by respecting our codes of conduct and facilitating communication and exchanges.

Meetings (reports in Italian)

  • 10 December 2025: meeting GLAM, coordinators, volunteers about strengths and challenges in our activities with a specific focus on volunteer engagement. What emerged:
    • Creating a sort of time bank (banca del tempo) to collect support from people and institutions.
    • Organising a meeting about GLAMs and activities in Rome, planned for January.
    • Checking the plan for Wikimedia Italia publications to include copyright and different levels of tools + training (implemented by Wikimedia Italia or partners such as ICOM).
    • Checking the communication tools where Wikimedia Italia coordinators are communicated.
    • Checking the current documentation we have related to the onboarding and if we can plan some specific moment during the year designated to it.
