Abstract

Kansas City Public Library hosted a Wikipedia edit-a-thon that focused on creating content around Kansas City's rich cultural heritage. The result was a program that built community, taught digital literacy skills, and shared Kansas City’s jazz with the world. Kim Gile, the event's facilitator, will share her experience, insights, and lessons learned from this event. For more info, see her post here.
