Event overview[edit]

Purpose and vision

Please give a brief description of the event you are planning. What do you hope to accomplish during the event? Why is this event important for your community?

The Marathi Language ranks 10th in the list of most spoken languages in the world. Marathi has the third largest number of native speakers in India. Marathi Wikipedia launched on 1 May 2003 and it is growing continuously. An offline event like this will help community members to put together thoughts, ideas, and vision. This will help to come up with future strategies and planning for the development of Marathi Wikipedia and other concerned projects. We hope to gather wiki community for discussions related to improvement of Marathi wikimedia projects.
