Project summary
[edit]Briefly summarize your project proposal.
- The proposal seeks to revitalize the Gurene language, culture, and people through workshops, advocacy and competitions. Hence the following will be done;
- Develop training and editathons to increase Gurene lexemes, and articles
- Bridge the inter-generational gaps through meet-ups on creative arts, storytelling, and other information gathering approaches; Gurene quotes, Music, arts, etc.
- Undertake campaigns to raise awareness about the community
- Provide an enabling environment for community members to undertake research on Gurene language.

There will be a series of trainings, editathons, research projects as well as advocacy campaigns.
2. How have you let relevant Wikimedia communities know about this proposal? You may also provide information about external social media channels you may be using.

3. How will you let participants know about the edit-a-thon? In what ways will you be communicating with them?
For example, these can include on-wiki spaces, social media channels, mailing lists, messaging apps, or physical/online gatherings.

Resources
[edit]What resources do you have? Include information on who is organizing the project, what they will do, and if you will receive support from anywhere else (in-kind donations or additional funding).
- Human Resource to undertake trainings and move to various locations as well as hold virtual sessions. The team comprises of
- Amoramah; She is a graduate of University of Education Winneba with majors in Gurene. She currently leads projects at the Gurene Wikimedia Community and would be implementing trainings and coordinating editathons within the community.
- Awinebotima; she serves as the communication lead for the community and will be responsible for the development and coordination on all PR, reports, and provide administrative support for all projects
- Akakiiri; will serve as the language lead, who will oversee the use and development of the language for consistency among wiki projects.
- Uprising Man; will oversee the implementation of all activities and running of the Gurene Wikimedia Community to ensure it is in the right perspective.
- Shitobu; he serves as an adviser to the Gurene Wikimedia Community due to his vast experience on the Wikimedia Foundation operations.
