Project idea[edit]

What is the problem you're trying to solve?[edit]

Gender imbalance of Wikimedia contributions

What is your solution?[edit]

The majority of Librarians are female and Librarians share many of Wikimedia's values and goals. Training up Librarians to be Wikimedia contributors means you get more female Wikipedia editors and people who will use reliable sources. I would especially like to see training in regional areas, or simple online training. The wiki is very hard to learn from if you are unfamiliar with it.

Goals[edit]

Get Involved[edit]

Participants[edit]

  • Developer I´m woman, but sometimes I can´t belive in my habilities for write or read good, because in México people have false ideas about women. They don´t believe that women are intelligent, let alone that we are good at writing and reading. I have to help to change that bad beliefs. LidiadeBorges (talk) 01:00, 26 March 2015 (UTC)

Endorsements[edit]

  • Librarian here: happy to help in any way possible. We are indeed primarily female, lots are activists and will volunteer time for a good cause, and we are masters of finding citable information online. Introductory (talk) 16:16, 25 March 2015 (UTC)
