Project idea[edit]

What is the problem you're trying to solve?[edit]

Admins will often become hostile towards users who've been proven to be innocent if they make even a single mistake. This has caused Wikipedia to be criticized by various sources.

What is your solution?[edit]

This will hopefully allow users to have their voice be heard towards the WMF about bad admins. This will also hopefully ensure new users the admins will be nice to them.

The case would be submitted privately to the WMF through a form the reporting user would fill out (upon clicking the button) regarding what the bad admin is to be accused of. The WMF would then review the case and determine whether action on the admin (such as desysoping) would be appropriate.

Accused admins would receive the report as a complaint from the user about their behavior and be allowed to have their voice on the issue as well, as long as they don't abuse the feature.

Project goals[edit]

To hopefully ensure the wiki only has good admins and that the bad ones stay out.

Participants[edit]

  • Volunteer Willing to help with something like this. It seems like other services have it down that we should be able to report misconduct even if it is an administrator. Khawkbend (talk) 16:53, 9 June 2016 (UTC)

Endorsements[edit]

  • As creator and someone who's troubled by these issues and has heard about them. Misceditor1000 (talk) 03:40, 4 June 2016 (UTC)
  • Because some admins have a very high political profile and avoid any discussion about the articles they créate or manage. For instance, the Wikipedia in catalonian language is managed by separatist and radical admins (you can check my opinión in their profile, with their likes and background). It happens that the catalonian language articles are manipulated all of the against the usual neutral knowledge.

To support my opinión, you can take a look to the nacionality of any celebrity, sportmen or women. Everyone are showed as "Catalan" when this región is a part of the Spanish country and not a independent state.

Excuse my writing, I am Spanish and those isn't my native language. Pinfano (talk) 09:16, 10 June 2016 (UTC)
