Project idea[edit]

What is the problem you're trying to solve?[edit]

How can one who is appalled by language used in some WP comments still contribute and maintain a sense of "I have added value," but on the other hand keep emotionally healthy in a hostile-language area?

What is your solution?[edit]

Make it explicitly valued and encouraged that one can add one's knowledge (do an edit - "be courageous"), but then leave the area and let others - presumably more "discussion-stable" ("thick-skinned") - do the job of defending the correctness of the contribution.

Rationale: It is often the case that not one and the same person can contribute knowledge as well as defend the formulation of that knowledge in the face of unfounded and/or harassing attacks. So, make it an expliclty legitimate behaviour to do only one of these jobs, but not the other.
