Including Articles About Subjects that are relevant to the people of my region.

If Wikipedia could include more articles about subjects and people in my region then they would be more interested in reading more wikipedia articles since it covers about issues that are relevant to them. Writing an article or editing one is quite a daunting task, especially if you're from Africa where at least half of the reliable and established news agencies/websites and media houses are not accepted as credible sources by Wikipedia. If Wikipedia could ease that up and make itself more accessible and relevant to the African community, I am without doubt certain that the number of people consume articles on wikipedia would grow exponentially in Africa.

Who are the people you want to introduce Wikipedia to?

Try to be as specific as possible about this group.
Almost anyone and everyone in my region. Wikipedia has articles for all kinds of disciplines, so anyone can relate to a certain article on Wikipedia. Wikipedia is for everyone.

In what languages do they search for information, online or otherwise?

In what ways does this group communicate with each other?

This can include services and apps in social media, mailing lists, physical spaces like conferences or lectures, or at specific institutions like at a library.
Word Of Mouth, Social Media Platforms.

What are some reasons this group would use Wikipedia? How would they benefit from it, or what would they find useful?

Think about what they would be interested in reading and learning about; does Wikipedia provide better access to information this group cares about?
As an online Encyclopedia, Wikipedia has the most useful information you'll ever find on the net and is by far the first choice for answers to tricky and complex questions that day to day people battle to understand or comprehend easily enough. Even though most people prefer Google as their primary search engine, it is highly likely that they have more trust for content if it comes from Wikipedia.

Describe your idea to engage new readers. How might it be implemented? What will you tell people about Wikipedia?

Think about the steps that might involved to make this idea happen, and what you might teach people about your experience or others' experiences using Wikipedia.
Wikipedia is by far the hardest place to create or start a new article about almost anything due to the persistence and the scrutiny that the Wikipedia Admins subject you to in order to verify the authenticity, credibility, reliability and notability of the subject of your article and the sources cited, So, if you see anything on Wikipedia, it is not there by accident. It has passed the litmus test.

How will you know if this project is successful? What are some outcomes that you can share after the project is completed?

It would certainly be visible in the media and the increase in the articles about subjects relevant to the people in my region.

Academics, Public Speakers and Social Media Influencers would be very useful. Financial and logistical assistance is also very imperative for this project to be successful.

Exactly, I thought the same. Even graduates in Nepal don't use Wikipedia to read because they don't find it either interesting or reliable. The Wikipedia lacks information about third world nations like African countries, South Asian nations. And if they have some notable topics, the article is highly unreliable. For example; There are tons of articles on American man (or European White) named John Smith, many of whom can be notable but less significant. But venerable figures for Nepalese, e.g., Prithvi Narayan Shah, Kalu Pande, etc. have personal blog like articles on Wikipedia. Similarly, if prominent singer/rapper like Girish Khatiwada who has flamboyance like Eminem among Nepalese youth, doesn't even have a Wikipedia article, then how can you attract the Nepalese crowd? Similar for African nations. Nepalese don't Wikipedia interesting as it lacks relevant regional topics for the concerned crowd. Also, there is disbelief in Nepalese crowd towards reliability of Wikipedia.

Banning a user like me is not any solution. You will receive thousands like me. You should teach, train and give more focus and chances to us. You people should build like Barca's La Masia academy. Regards. Thapa Kazi999 (talk) 09:11, 31 January 2018 (UTC)
