Grants:IdeaLab/Wikimuseum, Wikiquiz and Wiki-interative
What is the problem you're trying to solve?
Just like an encyclopedia, a museum is a repository of knowledge, but of a bit different type. A museum is more 'Visual', as well, while walk-through floor of an organized museum, the continuum of scenes, as-if, teaches us like a class. Whereas, an ordinary Encyclopedia (including Wikipedia) is a repository of discrete "Pages", which become useful only when we already know something about a subject. only after-that we can further read about it in encyclopedia.
Encyclopedia also have its advantages. But additionally a museum could be there obviously.
What is your solution?
Wikipedia may provide a digital museum, branching into different sections (Zoology, Botany, Geography, Physics etc. as happen in museum), with very little-amount of text, and mostly media-files, and if-possible, interactive tools.
The museum will be a very-much calm, relaxing place, where , someone having no-idea about an area, could understand the subject, & could do further study from the encyclopedia.
In this wikimuseum/ or in some-other place to make wikipedia more attractive, wikipedia can provide "Wikiquizes", of different groups of people (Such as Primary school, Higher-school, Researchers, Professional in some field) etc.
In this wikimuseum/ or in some-other place , Wikipedia should provide interactive tools (like this-one : http://learn.genetics.utah.edu/content/epigenetics/rats/) , that would help understanding of the subject.
