Goal[edit]
- Training and outreach materials: Wikimedians of Republic of Srpska user group exists and operates for more than a year and during that time we held more than 36 wiki meetups, 10 educations programs, one conference, one photo contents, a glam event and several edit-a-thons. For all these events there was a promotion and education materials provided by the wikimedians. Some brochures were printed as a part of grant tasks in small quantities. In order to increasing activities and be more professional we would like to have training and outreach materials.
We do have plans to organize several events in upcoming period and brochures are necessary to get better results.
- Most needed:
- Meet the Republic of Srpska: Project Meet Srpska involves editing marathon and competition in writing articles and a photo tour which would focus on collecting photographs of the Republic of Srpska. There are already articles and photos regarding the Republic of Srpska on Wikipedia, however, their number is small. According to researches there are less than 7000 articles about Republic of Srpska. Also, beside lack of articles, there is also insufficient number of photos on Wikimedia Commons. The project goal is increasing number of articles on Wikipedia, and increasing number of photos on Wikimedia Commons. The planned period for realization of all activities is from July11th to August 14th.

- Meet the Republic of Srpska: Wikimedia Commons and Wikipedia (especially sr., sh., hr. and bs.) and indirectly all projects using Wikimedia Commons media files.

What crucial thing will the project try to change or benefit in the Wikimedia movement? - creating partnerships to target offline populations (e.g. offline Wikipedia distribution);
- presenting at conferences with a targeted audience;
- spreading the word about Wikimedia projects to a general audience with no follow-up (e.g. book fairs, cultural events).
- Meet the Republic of Srpska:
- This project will have a direct impact on increasing the number of quality articles on Wikipedia relating to the Republic of Srpska. the project will have an impact on increasing the number of photos to Wikimedia Commons. Besides Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons, the project will promote Wikimedia and its projects in these areas, through cooperation with media and various institutions. Project will impruve relationships with partner institution. Also, project will motivate editors from Republic of Srpska to participe in editing and contribute in local wiki events.
Measures of success[edit]

- Meet the Republic of Srpska: According to preliminary research conducted by our user group, number of articles on sr.wikipedia related to Republic of Srpska is less then 7000. Also, it was noted that in most of the articles represented the Banja Luka region, while others are lagging behind.
- Wikimedians of Republic of Srpska constitute the officially recognized group of users and editors of Wikimedia projects in Republic of Srpska. Official name of the group is Wikimedia Community of Republic of Srpska. Community is conceptualized and founded as a non-governmental, non-profit and non-party oriented group which achieves its goals in exclusively non-profit manner. It was officially recognized on 6th of October 2015, but from 2013 there is progres and projects. Wikimedia community of Republic of Srpska currently has 52 members. Group has already finished one photo-competition project called “Traces of Soul 2015”, two educational projects with 9 workshops and 1 photo tour, 1 edit-a-thоn and 1 seminar. Also, the grup has organize one local Wiki conference and took part in organizing local celebration of Wikipedia Day 2016. Group had over 36 internal meetings and has already participated in events on international level. Earlier experiences acquired during project implementation on the territory of Republic of Srpska show that more serious obstacles are general unawareness and lack of information so events like this one represent crucial element in formation of strong foundation for later work and projects, but for Republic of Srpska Wikimedia community building as well. Project will be realized by organizing team, voted by the Community as most fitting due to their experience and territorial distribution.

- There are no real risks that would impede the realization of this project.
- Meet the Republic of Srpska:
- A real risk that could complicate the implementation of this project is weak interests for editing. To alleviate and eliminate this possibility we will takeп progressive campaign on social networks, Wikimedia sites and through direct communication with participants.
