Capacity Building A: Grow a skilled, active, and engaged community of contributors, trainers, and leaders who understand the Wikimedia movement, platforms, and guiding principles. B: Establish a legal non-profit organisation to grow capacity for the future and receive opportunities that would be denied otherwise if we are being engaged as individuals or informal group.

User:Kingoflettuce has a decade’s experience in editing on the English Wikipedia and is very enthusiastic about helping to grow a wider base of contributors to the Wikimedian movement in Singapore. For the user group, Kingoflettuce would be taking on communications and partnerships. He may also facilitate workshops, editathons, and meetups. User:Justanothersgwikieditor has been editing on English Wikipedia for the last 18 years and is ready to share his knowledge and expertise to others. For the user group, JASWE would help in facilitating workshops.

Robert is an English Wikipedia administrator, elected at the start of 2024. He started editing in earnest in 2019 on English Wikipedia, and has since contributed to various other language projects such as Chinese, Korean, Japanese, etc. He has also uploaded more than 500 photos onto Commons. In 2023, he had organised Wikimania 2023, taking on the tech lead in the Core Organising Team. For Wikimania 2023, he also organised Wiki Loves Living Heritage, Singapore edition with support from Wikimedia Foundation, Singapore’s National Youth Achievement Award Council, and National Heritage Board. Beyond Wikimedia, Robert is a WordPress contributor as well, helping to organise WordPress meetups and conferences in Singapore since 2009, lending a helping hand when needed at other WordPress conferences being held in other countries.He was also on the board of directors for HackerspaceSG between 2018 and 2020. For the user group, Robert would be handling the administration and operationalisation of the non-profit organisation, as well as the events such as meetups, editathons, and Wiki Loves.

Alan Ang is currently working with WMDE, however as a Singaporean, he has established connections with various organisations and society in Singapore, and would be advising the user group.

Butch (User:Exec8) is a long-time Wikimedian living in Singapore. He has been active in the larger community, and will be advising the user group.
