Projecting ourselves as a diverse and action-driven group who continuously cares and looks forward to "close the gap" when talking about the presence of women in Catalan Wikipedia articles. "We need you for a more equal Wikipedia"
- Linking together the growing activism in favor of the Catalan language with an "act of responsibility/activism" towards Wikipedia.(ie. "do you care about the future of your language? Edit Wikipedia and keep it alive". "Give back for all those years Wikipedia served you, give back by editing now.").

We have a contractor that we would like to hire as staff, and have budget to hire a part-time contractor when we have work peaks, so our team of volunteers does not suffer from work overload.
- 12. Will you be working with any internal (Wikimedia) or external partners? Describe the characteristics of these partnerships and bring a few examples of the most significant partnerships. (required)
We are building new alliances with Catalan speaking partners such as Fundació Accent Obert, with whom will start common programs, Catalan speaking universities, and GLAM institutions. We provide mentoring on wiki knowledge, help them implementing new open knowledge strategies and, on a near future, build common programs.
Our collaboration with other Wikimedia chapters, particularly the Basque Country editors, has been invaluable. Their extensive knowledge and experience in video creation and curating educational content have significantly influenced our methodologies. We are also actively involved in multilingual initiatives such as 100 Women of the BBC, where we have consistently been the first language to fulfill the goal. Additionally, we participate in other multilingual initiatives within the Iberian peninsula, promoting Catalan Language and culture outside the Catalan-speaking territories.
Another key event is our annual in-person Viquitrobada. Our community gather together for a full weekend. This will be our 19th edition. We have other in-person events as a way to take care of the health of our community. Furthemore, we will start on summer 2026 a two week cooperative residence at Konvent in Berga as a edit-a-thon, but also to build new in-person communities.
Referring to other external partners, we team up with the main Catalan speaking universities (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Universitat Rovira Virgili, Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, Universitat de Barcelona, Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Universitat de Girona, ESMUC), and some of the main museums (Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya, Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona, among others) and archives.
Amical Wikimedia is member of Wikimedia Europe and participates in some of the in-person activities.
We are also working to establish new alliances within the Wikimedia community and with external partners. One of the 2025 challenges will be to keep up the good work with women-focused content by expanding our collaborations. The second important thing to us will be forging new alliances with LGBTIQA+ associations and diversity to establish regular programs to close these biases. (the 2030 strategic plan and the anual plan cover this section as well).
