Our programs and strategies focus on education, capacity building, community engagement, content development, and knowledge competitions. We aim to enrich Yemeni cultural, historical, and environmental content on Wikimedia projects, while empowering new contributors through workshops, mentorship, and outreach activities. The main challenges we seek to address include limited awareness of Wikimedia in Yemen, digital literacy gaps, underrepresentation of Yemeni heritage and nature, and resource constraints. To overcome these challenges, we will organize training workshops, photo documentation trips, awareness events such as Arabic Language Day, and competitions like “Wiki Tech” and “Wiki Loves Earth.” These efforts will strengthen skills, expand quality Yemeni content, and foster a sustainable, active community. This year, the group is placing a strong focus on building a strong local community and building partnerships with the Arab Wikimedia community.
