Proposal[edit]
1. What is the overall vision of your organization and how does this proposal contribute to this? How does this proposal connect to past work and learning?
Igbo Wikimedians User Group is a group of Wikimedians that are committed to working on various wiki projects related to Igbo language and culture. We aim to share free knowledge especially in Igbo Language to make it accessible to people who would not be able to on a normal day.
2. What is the change that you are trying to bring about and why is this important?
From our experience with our first sAPG, we're trying to help bridge the content gap, recruit/empower more Igbo language knowledge producers and share free knowledge in Igbo language to enable easy access for people who would otherwise not be able to on a normal day.
3. Describe your main approaches or strategies to achieve these changes and why you think they will be effective.
We hope to achieve this through content creation projects (edit a thons, writing contest/competitions, photo contests, wiki campaigns, culture promotion), community development projects (improving our mentorship program which we titled 'adopt a User', make individual grants available to community members with creative project ideas that align with the community objectives), partnership with both wiki communities in Nigeria and abroad. Partnership with local organizations.
4. What are the activities you will be developing and delivering as part of these approaches or strategies?
1. Introduce Wikimedia projects to more Igbo people that are literate in the Igbo language at any level.

11. What are your strategies for engaging participants, particularly those that currently are non-Wikimedia?
Our participants, depending on the project are: young adults and adults who speak and write Igbo language at any level.
