2023年 https://w.wiki/CTkG 2024年 https://w.wiki/9dSV と私はRapid Fundの恩恵を受けました。 特にこの2年間は、日本の各地域でウィキペディアに対する理解を深めてもらえるように、エディタソン、講演、編集ワークショップなどを行っています。ただ、現状では各地を訪れ、宿泊するだけの予算を主催者側が確保できないケースが多く、財団の助成金に頼っています。 過去2年間の私の助成金の使用用途は、交通費と宿代がほとんどで、わずかな資料費があるのみです。
多くの新規編集者を生み出し、図書館などの資料の有効活用や失われていく日本古来のものや習慣、文化や行事などを、ウィキペディアに記してくださる人を増やしたいです。

現在は私一人です。 日本では毎年の区切りを3月末までとし、4月から新しい区切りが始まります。ですので、具体的なプランはまだ出ていませんが、助成金の申請が通れば実現させたいという主催者ばかりです。それらは学校図書館の司書のサークルであったり、地域の文化を保持する団体であったりと様々です。

WikiGapやWikipediaTownは一般の方、図書館が主催する場合は地域の図書館スタッフ、教育機関の場合は学生たちとなります。
2023年では https://eventmetrics.wmcloud.org/programs/820 11のイベントを7つのエリアで行うことができました。
2024年では https://eventmetrics.wmcloud.org/programs/1025 助成金を使った16のイベントを行い、派生したイベントが5つで合計212のイベントが実現しました。
活動後のフォローアップとしては、編集参加して下さった編集者の編集をその後も編集履歴から追っています。また、メールなどを通じて編集のレクチャーも行っています。

私は2013年から現在まで、200以上のイベントでWikipediaについて話す機会を作ってきました。私にとってこの活動は収入を生む仕事ではありません。できるだけ多くの人にWikipediaを理解してもらいたいのです。私が学びたいのは限られた時間と条件で、いかにイベント参加者にウィキペディアに対する興味を持っていただくかですので、その手法を、回数を重ねることで学んでいきたいです。
I have created opportunities to speak about Wikipedia at over 200 events from 2013 to present. For me, this activity is not an income-generating job. I want as many people as possible to understand Wikipedia. What I want to learn is how to get event attendees interested in Wikipedia in a limited amount of time and under limited conditions, and I want to learn how to do that the more often I go.
