Team/Organizers Kolobetsoo Project Lead VNGao co-organizer IMPLEMENTATION ACTIVITIES 1. 2 online trainings 2. many scheduled one on one trainings with the participants we had a target of creating 600 articles and we managed to create 740 new pages and 768 edited pages with 1.21k edits EFFECTIVE APPROACHES USED 1. Communication: we communicated regularly with the participants 2. one on one online trainings: this sessions helped a lot in supporting the new comers and everyone who could not grasp the context during trainings. it gave them a chance to ask questions they could not ask during the training sessions and at the end of the session we had to make sure that the said participant is confident enough to start contributing to English Wikiquote. 3. quick response to queries: we made sure that we immediately respond to queries from the participants to enable them to move from one page to another. 4. Readily available when needed: We made sure that we are readily available to attend to participants when they needed us, this made sure that they do not remain idle on the same problem they had and it enabled them to move faster. 5. Provision of te redlist: We provieded our participants with the redlist of African Women who qualifies to have a Wikiquote page. This gave the participants a clue of what is expected of them and they were also encouraged to explore and not rely on the redlist alone and this worked for us.

Part 2: Learning
4. In your application, you outlined some learning questions. What did you learn from these learning questions when you implemented your project? How do you hope to use this learnings in the future? You can recall these learning questions below. (required)
You can recall these learning questions below: -We aim to increase content about women in wikiquote english.
- Giving women around Africa a voice
- advocating for safety and inclusion in the digital space
LEARNING OUTCOME: I have learnt that there are many notable African women out there who are not documented in Wikiquote more especially from my country Botswana. The main challenge we had was that this particular women do not have Wikipedia pages as it is one of the requirements for 1 to have a wikiquote page. We plan to have a challenge where we will be creating pages for African women in Wikipedia English to increase their visibility
5. Did anything unexpected or surprising happen when implementing your activities? This can include both positive and negative situations. What did you learn from those experiences? (required)
The new comers were very active, they showed more passion to participate in this event. They needed time and patience during training and we delivered. I have learnt that if you open your heart and welcome participants, helping them with love they will bring good results to the table.
6. What is your plan to share your project learnings and results with other community members? If you have already done it, describe how. (required)
We have added our project page to Wikimedia Community User Group Botswana Page and the dashboard, we are also planning to write a diff post about this project.
