Across Wikipedia and Wikidata, women and feminist knowledge remain underrepresented. African feminist scholars, movements, and initiatives are often missing, poorly sourced, or underdeveloped in Wikimedia projects. This project seeks to address these content and contributor gender gaps by centering feminist voices, data, and representation. We aim to: Increase visibility of Nigerian and African feminist leaders, organizations, and movements.

Train new editors - especially women and gender-diverse people - to contribute confidently to Wikipedia and Wikidata.

Foster conversations on data justice, dignity, and knowledge equity within Wikimedia spaces.

Approach: We will hold a two-month program combining capacity-building workshops, edit-a-thons, and mentorship on feminist knowledge production in Wikimedia. We will use a feminist data ethics framework to ensure respect, accuracy, and dignity in representation.

7. What are the planned activities? (required) Please provide a list of main activities. You can also add a link to the public page for your project where details about your project can be found. Alternatively, you can upload a timeline document. When the activities include partnerships, include details about your partners and planned partnerships.
