Wikidata is a Wikimedia project that has existed for over eleven years. This year, for the second time, Benin will join the global celebration of its 12th anniversary. The new features introduced this year include incorporating language into our activities. Additionally, we will conduct a training session in Parakou, a city where we have not yet established an active presence. The goal is to intensify Beninese contributions to Wikidata by adding local entities that are often absent or incomplete. For example, a SPARQL query on any kind item related to Benin shows some or missing entities, while the country has a lot elements to create additionnaly to some works like lexemes on local language. It is crucial to fill these gaps to improve the representation of local data. The celebration will include training workshops, editathons, and a competition to reward the best contributors. We will recruit and train new contributors while strengthening the skills of existing ones. These contributors have already participated in various campaigns such as Wiki Loves Folklore 2024, Wiki Loves Africa 2024, Mois de la contribution francophone 2024, Quinzaine des autrices francophones 2024, SheSaid 2023; Equité Genre au Benin. This approach leverages an existing base of contributors, which will increase participation and the effectiveness of contributions. Relying on this strategy based on this database to be exploited will undoubtedly increase the number of contributors around the Wikidata project given that they are already initiated to other sister projects such as Commons and Wikipedia.

7. What are the planned activities? (required) Please provide a list of main activities. You can also add a link to the public page for your project where details about your project can be found.
