1. What is the change that you are trying to bring about and why is this important.

In South Sudan, access to education and education resources is such a huge limitation to education, but with the massive amount of open education resources found on Wikimedia, we shall be able to reach out to many students and teachers to become not only consumers but as well creators of this educational content on Wikimedia platforms, and this shall affect the way teachers and students learn since learning will now be evidence-based, with a site of reference.

2. Describe your main approaches or strategies to achieve these changes and why you think they will be effective.

We shall use the school outreach Model to reach Juba University, and the students have a Wikimedia awareness and a peer-to-peer module for training students. reaching out to schools not only saves costs for the venue and other associated costs but it makes the learners and teachers feel more confident. It can easily aid in their learning process and consumption of the knowledge to hence be shared.

3. What are the activities you will be developing and delivering as part of these approaches or strategies?

We shall be able to develop a Wikiclub that shall retain and continue aiding students with a community of contributors to Wikimedia. we shall create Training of Students on reading Wikimedia ( Wikipedia in the classroom) adding more Edu- content about south Sudan on wikidata

The activities shall involve creating wiki clubs in the target schools of interest, training instructors and students on Wikimedia, and how they could become contributors/ editors and consumers of the already created information. Flow up meetings with teachers and students to aid in the continual contribution to this platform

4. Are your activities part of a Wikimedia movement campaign or event? If so, please select the relevant campaign below. If so, please select all the relevant campaigns from the list below. If "other", please state which.

6.1 In a few sentences, explain how your work is specifically addressing this content gap (or Knowledge inequity) to ensure a greater representation of knowledge.

After the training offered via the school outreaches, all the edits and article creations shall be centered at creation of data that was missing or improving already existing articles, and for the fact that South Sudan has a very minimal amount of information about her self on Wikimedia comes in handy that the information can be filled by a dashboard tracked editing program

Education, Culture, heritage or GLAM , Advocacy, Human Rights, Open Technology, Diversity

9. Who are the target participants and from which community? How will you engage participants before and during the activities? How will you follow up with participants after the activities?

We shall be working with teachers and students in 3 schools in Juba in this project, and we shall be able to engage in pre-program events like mobilization in the schools, by allowing the teachers to select the 20 students we shall be working with per school, and the 10 teachers per school shall be selected on the basis of willingness and come one come first, the interested members shall be allowed to fill in a form of interest, then considered for the program from the different targeted schools. Then the post-program events shall mainly be follow-up programs via a WhatsApp group to coordinate the edits and articles created via the dashboard and a later evaluation foam to be filled by those that participated in the training and program to asses the impacts of the program

10. In what ways are you actively seeking to contribute towards creating a safer, supportive, more equitable environment for participants?

These events and programs shall be on the school premises, which are deemed safe and secure for children learning and as well for the teachers. The circumstances shall have familiar people, the teachers the kids know, and there shall be additional support from the administration to ensure the kids shall be safe in the space during our training.

We also have a safe Guarding Policy that shall guide the instructors, trainers, and participants during the sessions
