- 1. What is the change that you are trying to bring about and why is this important.
As a result of the success that was recorded during the Info-tourism and Wellness which was the first wikipedia event to be hosted in Osun State.
All the participants that attended the event have now become active editors of Wikipedia and its sister projects as they have been followed up by the organizing team to make sure they are actively engaged.
This edit-a-thon is aimed at organising a practical session for the new wikimedians to put what they have learnt into practice.
The participants requested for subsequent opportunity for them to be productively engaged after the previous training session.
As a result the team was compelled to come up with this edit-a-thon in order to ensure active participation of the newbies in the Wikimedia community.

Discuss challenges faced by participants during the previous training and provide solutions to it.
Increase skills for existing editors.
Visit more places for Photowalk, places like; tourist centers, notable landmarks, and historical locations.
Adding or improving local content on English Wikipedia, Wikidata and Wiki Common.

The activities we will be developing includes:
We will organize two (2) in-person events followed by virtual sessions on Zoom to keep in touch with all participants. These events will consist of Wikipedia Training and Edit-a-thon for new and existing editors, and a photo walk to tourist centers and notable places in Osun state.
There will be hands-on keyboard training where the new editors will be given the avenue to practice what they have learnt.
We will create an outreach dashboard where we will assign articles to participants and also monitor their activities.
We will create a separate Whatsapp group where participants will be mentored after the events.

OTim75 Project Coordinator. He is an experienced Wikimedia Editor and he co-organized the Wikidata For Tourism in Nigeria. He has participated and won various prizes at different contest in the Wikimedia community such as WPWPNG 2021 and Explore Nigeria contest among others.
Major Lyte is an experienced Wikimedia Editor. He has participated and won in various Wikimedia community projects. He has also organized various contests such as Wikidata for media personalities and Wikidata for Tourism in Nigeria. He will be facilitating training on Wikidata.
Favourdare123 is an experienced Wikimedia Editor. He will be in charge of communications and publicity.

Osun State is home to several of Nigeria's most famous landmarks, of which they are not included on the Wiki platform due to the fact that aborigines were not given the opportunity to contribute to the free knowledge platform, so this will be an opportunity for them to contribute. The project will also create awareness and information about tourism as an activity that enhances human wellness and integration, importance of protecting historical grounds, monuments and artifacts,.

Osun state aborigines are the audience. Participants will be communicated via different social media channels and physical gatherings. A WhatsApp follow-up group will be created to further engage them. The group will provide them with tips on creating, editing, and retrieving Wikidata items.

All participants will be enlightened about the Wikimedia friendly space policy and the Universal Code of Conduct.
