Jju is a language spoken by approximately 300,000 people, predominantly living around Jema'a, Kachia, and Zangon Kataf of Kaduna State in the Southern Kaduna area of the Middle Belt Region of Nigeria.

This program is planned to create awareness about the Jju Wiki projects, to bring in new editors to the Jju Wikipedia community, and to equip these editors with the basic editing skills on how to contribute and to develop the Jju language in the Wikipedia Incubator. This is so necessary because the Jji language project, which began in September 2024, has not organised any training to bring in new editors to support the activities of the current volunteers, despite the number of L1 speakers of this language. This program shall be held in Zonkwa, which is the central and traditional seat of the Bajju (Jju people).

7. What are the planned activities? (required) Please provide a list of main activities. You can also add a link to the public page for your project where details about your project can be found. Alternatively, you can upload a timeline document. When the activities include partnerships, include details about your partners and planned partnerships.

The planned activities for this program are as follows:

  • Orientation on Wikimedia projects and awareness creation.
