Je souhaite aller effectuer une géolocalisation, des photographies puis documenter trois mémoriaux liés au génocide du Rwanda. En effet, il s’agit des mémoriaux de Ggolo, de Lambu, de Kasensero. Situés en Ouganda dans le sud-ouest de la capitale Kampala, ils sont érigés le long des rives du lac Victoria.
Les 3 mémoriaux ont à ce jour une géolocalisation approximative.
il s’agit d’aller sur place, trouver l’endroit, faire des photos et documenter dans wikimédia (pédia, data, commons, voyage,...)

Les défis s’axent principalement autour de la documentation des données sur ces trois mémoriaux.
Approches et stratégies retenues
La première stratégie est la localisation gps des sites. Un voyage sur place est prévu. Ceci permettra de compléter les données sur les articles existants ou d’en créer éventuellement. Ils seront par la suite traduits si nécessaire.
La deuxième est la documentation photographique sur le terrain. Un voyage sur place est prévu et les déplacements sur les 3 lieux permettront de photographier les sites sur différents angles et de téléverser les images sous licence libre sur Wikimedia Commons.
Je compte en sus de cela répertorier les noms des personnes décédées inscrits sur les mémoriaux, mettre les dates de naissance et de mort sur wikidata puis rédiger des articles sur ces personnes si nécessaires en achetant des ouvrages.
La mise en oeuvre de ce projet permettra à terme de conserver l’histoire et les élèves, étudiants et chercheurs ainsi que la communauté mondiale pourra en bénéficier.

Ce projet s'étend sur une duré de 3 mois:
- Préparation (création de page d'inscription à l'évènement pour le suivi du projet)
- Géolocalisation, cartographie et photograpgie des mémoriaux en Ouganda
- Création de contenu sur Wikipédia, Wikidata et Téléversement des photos sur Wikimedia Commons
- Atelier de restitution à la communauté Wiki Wake Up Afrique

Ce projet s’inscrit dans une démarche de contribution encyclopédique ainsi qu’une expérience d’apprentissage. Loin de se limiter à un travail sur un territoire extérieur, je sortirai d’une nouvelle expérience avec des connaissances utiles pour mon développement en tant que Wikimedien.
