During our semi-annual grant period, the Nupe Wikimedians community conducted monthly engagements with new and existing editors, which drives the growth and collaboration. Some of our key achievements are:
1. We created over 500 new articles in Nupe Language, which 500 was our target as indicated in our grant proposal but we achieved above it.
2. We also Improved approximately 910 existing articles, with references added and pictures also. This gives clearer information to articles and easy understanding by users.
3. Around 2,500 edits were made which is a good approach for community development.
4. Globally 230,000 views were record. This simply amplify the growth of the Nupe Wikimedians community in promoting open knowledge.
This momentum led to our selection for the 2026 Language Diversity Hub Fellowship. We're now expanding content on our community's Wiktionary, which is in the verge of getting approval from Langcom. This growth strengthens our contribution to Wikimedia's language diversity goals.
