1. What is the change that you are trying to bring about and why is this important.

Having the Iraqi Wikimedians User group registered properly as NGO and being able to open a bank account for the NGO.

It's essential for us to start partnerships and big projects with public and private sectors. And it will help us to organize bigger projects with bigger impacts by being able to receive funds as a legally registered NGO.

Hiring a lawyer to register the Iraqi Wikimedians User Group as a non governmental organization inside Iraq. Paying the registration fees. Open a new bank account for the newly registered NGO.

Yes, we've expanded to Baghdad beside Erbil as a preparation for a bigger projects once we are registered.

Iraq is having a great potential of content that are still missing in Wikipedia and other sister projects, by registering we are able to reach out to new editors in universities and making partnerships with interested entities to achieve this common goal

Arabic (Iraqi) new Wikimedians, as well as Kurdish new editors (Central Kurdish CKB).

I'm seeking a greater impact to decrease the content gap of Mesopotamian knowledge laying out there to be inserted in Wikipedia and other sister projects.

We have an active Facebook page, as well as a WhatsApp group with all new volunteers ready to be engaged once we are registered.
