Cebuano Wikipedia has 6.1+ million articles (second globally) but only 200+ active users. With 99% of content created by bots, there is a critical need for human editors to improve quality, add cultural context, and create relevant content for 20 million Cebuano speakers worldwide. Continuing our successful WikiPagkat-on project which started in 2025, generating more partners willing to work with Wikiclub Cebu to expand the Cebuano Wikipedia to increase more human editors, we wanted to sustain these positive community acceptance to deepen our impact not only in the urban Cebu but also in various towns and cities where Wikipedia content is limited and outdated.

We will just continue with what we started from the last grant. Our project "WikiPagkat-on sa Sugbo has been well accepted by our academic partners as well as local government partners and we wanted to expand its coverage and deepen the editing skills of our Cebuano editors to sustain the pipeline of Cebuano Wikipedia editors. To give context to our academic partners' roles, they provide us with student editors, professor guides and some of their knowledge sources on local history and cultural records. As to our local government partners, they provide us with local government data on tourism, heritage and cultural sites to work on and assist in documentation, identification, coordination and research.

We continue to invite university students in various Cebu universities. Right now we have academic partnership with 4 Cebu universities and we also wanted to expand in 4 more. These universities have various campuses located in various towns and cities in Cebu and we wanted to reach the campuses farthest from Cebu City in order to obtain balanced Cebuano knowledge spread across 44 towns and 9 cities in Cebu.
For WikiPanaw, municipal, city and barangay officials and community youth leaders are our targeted participants
