This project aimed to document and map child vulnerability indicators within Hausa communities in Kaduna State using Wikimedia platforms especially (Wikipedia, Wikidata and Wikimedia Commons). This initiative combined structured data contribution, Wikipedia article development, and a community photo walk to gather location-based visual documentation.
The primary objectives is to:
- To improve Hausa -language Content related to child vulnerability, health and social welfare,
- Uploaded geo-located images to Wikimedia Commons
- Contribute structured data to Wikidata.
- Train youth and community members in ethical documentation and Wikimedia sister projects editing.
- Support data visibility for vulnerable communities through open knowledge platforms.
The project engaged local volunteers, students and community advocates to contribute open knowledge that support awareness and research.

This project implement a tremendous potential impacts to the journey of my career especially how the project help child from an underrepresented Hausa communities in Kaduna. Some of the lessons include:

5. Did anything unexpected or surprising happen when implementing your activities? This can include both positive and negative situations. What did you learn from those experiences? (required)
When running the project, both positive and negative surprises arise. Here are some common experiences:
POSITIVE SURPRISES:
- Increase Engagements: Sometimes, activities draw unexpected levels of enthusiasm. This lead to greater participation than anticipated.
- Collaboration: Participants collaborated in ways that enhance the experience, leading to creative solutions or ideas.
- Skill Development: People often discover new skills or interests they did't know they had, which can foster confidence and motivation.
NEGATIVE SURPRISES:
- Technical issues: We experience some unexpected technical problems during the project especially the public address and the projector but we highlighted the needs for backup plans alternatively.
- Internet issues: We experienced inadequate internet stability due to the router's incapability to serve the participants at one in which rendered to less online activities (Contributing to Wikipedia) at the day 1 of edit-a-ton.
Logistical Challenges: During the project, we encountered logistical Challenger especially during the photo walks, but we were able to handle the challenges.
