Part 1: Project and impact

This Project focus on Wikidata and Commons. This Project come up due to our concern to the school data in West Papua which is still low and unrepresented. With this Issues my team try to investigate the school data in West Papua and found that there is no data for Kinder Garden level in Wikidata. Than, We Collect the data throught some resources to help us to get more informations about the Kinder garden in West Papua. Furthemore, to support the data in Wikidata my team inisiate to complete the data in Wikidata by adding Scholl pictures in Commons. During the process of collecting data my team divided in to three teams. The first team focus on Data collection while the second Team focus on documentation and the last team has responsibility in analaysing the data collection and adding the data in Wikidata and Commons.

During the process of collecting and inputing the data mostly we used https://query.wikidata.org to trach the school data on Wikidata. While https://wmf.fluxx.io/dashboard/index# is used to track the amount of the contributions.

After completing this project. Our big hope, The data will help the public to get information about the school in West Papua. Beside that, The information will be useful to develop an articel in Wikipedia. Furthemore, the school picture in Commons will help the public to know the school situation in West Papua. Throught this project we want let everyone to get easy in getting data and developing new article.

5. Did anything unexpected or surprising happen when implementing your activities? This can include both positive and negative situations. What did you learn from those experiences? (required)

During the process of collecting data we face some chalenges to identify the school because some of the school on DAPODIK and SEKOLAH KITA do not have complete information that is way we need more resources to support the data. Besides that, during the documentations my team need to adjust with the weather because during the time it was rainy season.

6. What is your plan to share your project learnings and results with other community members? If you have already done it, describe how. (required)

We plan to make a maasive contribution in Wikimedia Project. This project will give us more motivation in making more contributuion in developing new article related to un represented area in Papua. The result of this project provide data to support otrher community to develop new artcile related to schools data in West Papua.
