Moreover, the topic of authentic Java and Bali cultural heritage related to museum collections and traditional culture are still limited for students and the public. We will focus on improving existing articles and creating new articles on Java and Bali cultural heritage related topics on Wikipedia Indonesia; including Wikipedia Jawa, Bali, and Sunda (Indonesia’s traditional languages); Wikivoyage Indonesia, and uploading photos to WikiCommons.

To achieve those objectives, our approaches are 1) increasing the quality and quantity of Java and Bali cultural heritage related content on Wikipedia Indonesia, Wikimedia Commons, and Wikivoyage Indonesia; 2) increasing the usage and visibility of Java and Bali cultural heritage related articles by students and general public; and 3) building a sustainable community of skilled Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons, and Wikivoyage editors dedicated to this subject area.

In each city, we will provide in-person trainer training as well as online meetups with local Wikimedia communities to prepare for Wikipedia, WikiCommons, and WikiVoyage training and edit-a-thons. 3) Organizing a four-city workshop series in partnership with key stakeholders and local Wikimedia communities. During these seminars, we will instruct new contributors on how to edit Wikipedia, WikiCommons, and WikiVoyage and propose ways to foster collaboration between communities and Wikimedia practitioners on Java and Bali cultural heritage subjects. 4) Organizing edit-a-thons focused on Java and Bali cultural heritage. We will conduct offline edit-a-thons after each workshop to conduct edits on Wikipedia articles. A total of 80 articles for Wikipedia Indonesia and 100 articles for WikiCommons, and 4 types of articles for WikiVoyage Indonesia are expected to be edited during this project. We will create a Google Sheet for the project with a full list of articles to be worked on and an outreach dashboard to track participation. During one of our regular meetups/edit-a-thon events at KlubWiki UB, we came up with a plan to distribute Wikipedia to more people. The concept was then supported by our research on the limited quantity of information available on Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons, and Wikivoyage about Java and Bali cultural heritage that has not been influenced by colonialism. As a follow-up, KlubWiki UB organized a special team to develop a proposal and organize the activity. We conducted three sessions to refine our thoughts and compose our proposal. In the meantime, we began contacting stakeholders from other regional cultures and local communities to assist with project planning.
