1. What is the change that you are trying to bring about and why is this important.

We want to make the 2023 Wiki Loves Africa more beautiful, colourful and expository, by participating in the competition to take so many pictures in relation to this year's theme (Weather and Cimate) to add them on Wiki Commons and also use in Tyap Wikipedia, Hausa Wikipedia, Yoruba Wikipedia, English Wikipedia and other Wikis. It is also open for so many users around the world.

2. Describe your main approaches or strategies to achieve these changes and why you think they will be effective.

We will expose more about the "Weather and Climate" of the African culture with the following:

  • Six professional photographs will be involved using high Digital Cameras to take several images.
  • About 1000 quality images will uploaded in commons that will depict this year's theme in a typical rural setting of Kaduna state, Nigeria, specifically Kachia.
  • 100 beaitiful and quality images will be used to edit by all participants on Wikipedia.
3. What are the activities you will be developing and delivering as part of these approaches or strategies?

We will organise a two-day training event where all participants will be trained on the strategy, thereby travel to the selected area (Kachia) to take photographs. New editors will be taught how to edit on commons as well as participating in the event internationally.

The team will consist of 10 persons, six experienced editors and 4 new editors, namely:

1. User: Steve Kally- Stephen Kalad Jonathan is the Team lead for this exercise and a Photographer, also a an editor of the Tyap Wikimedia commmunity and Wiki Commons.
2. User: Kambai Akau - Kambai Akau Levi is a Co-organiser and the Community Director, He is an experienced Wikiemdia editor and also a Photographer.
3. User: Zbobai - Zwandien Bobai is a Co-organiser, a Photographer, an editor in Tyap Wikimedia community, and a Hebrew Scholar.
4. User: Friday musa - Friday Musa is Co-organiser for this event, he is a Photographer and an editor on Wiki commons and Tyap Wikimedia Community.
5. User: (Valtino44 - Valentine Didam is a Co-organiser for this event handling logistics and travels. He is a Photographer and an editor in the Tyap Wikimedia Community.
6. User: Bello Lydia - Bello Linda is a co-organiser for this event, she is the Secretary of the Tyap Wiki Community, an editor in the Tyap Wikimedia Community.
7. User: Kuyet44 - Eunice Buku is a volunteer participant for this even, she is also an editor for the Tyap Wiki Community.
8. User: TimWobin - Timothy Bako is volunteer participant for this exercise, and editor in the Tyap Wikimedia community.

Using this high quality and beautiful images, We will bring the world close to the weather and climate of the North West region of Nigeria, where there are so many untold stories.

The target participants are from Tyap Wikimedians User Group. We will make advertisement using e-fliers, on the Tyap Wikimedians User Group Discussion page, Telegram and Facebook where the participants engage the most.

10. In what ways are you actively seeking to contribute towards creating a safer, supportive, more equitable environment for participants?

We will ensure all health and security measures are adhered to as reflected in our budget. Covid 19 prevention measures will also be adhered to, First Aid will be made available, local security will be contacted for clearance before travelling. In general, we will adhere to the Wikimedia friendly space Policy.

Participant are able to participate in International events as it affects our geographical conditions, and also to see new editors on Wiki Commons add images on Wikipedia and other Wikis.
