In Ivory Coast we consume a wide variety of dishes every day. The 2025 campaign of Wiki Loves Africa, through the theme "From farm to plate" offers us the opportunity to Understand where our food comes from, the different ways in which food goes from the farm to our plate. How do our food products (rice, cereals, tubers, vegetables, fruits, nuts, meats, fish, shellfish, etc.) arrive on our markets, then in our kitchens, and finally, on our plates? Is our food of good quality? We will answer all these questions and document it all through beautiful videos. By knowing where it comes from, we will be able to better appreciate our Ivorian food as it is cooked and served. We will also try to highlight the farmers who cultivate, as well as the traders who regularly supply our markets, without forgetting the women and men who cook these delicious Ivorian dishes on a daily basis, at home or in restaurants. This will be an opportunity for us to present the culinary specialties of Côte d'Ivoire and their preparation in the kitchen. And also, above all, to highlight the agricultural, pastoral and fishing products that go into the composition of these dishes. And all this, through very beautiful videos of excellent visual and sound quality, in order to enrich Wikimedia Commons and fill the gap in video content on Wikipedia, relating to Côte d'Ivoire, to Africa.

7. What are the planned activities? (required) Please provide a list of main activities. You can also add a link to the public page for your project where details about your project can be found. Wiki Loves Africa Côte d'Ivoire Fan Club, will focus on video and photo taking activities under the theme « From farm to plate » of Wiki Loves Africa 2025. The images will be uploaded to Wikimedia commons and will be used to illustrate articles related to Ivory Coast, and Africa on Wikipedia and its sister projects, and also on other Wiki categories. An exhibition of the best images will take place to encourage participants.

I entered the Wiki Loves Africa competition for the very first time in 2020 and won the Best Video prize of Wiki Loves Africa 2020. See here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Africa_2020/Winners My participation in 2020 allowed the creation of the Best Video category for subsequent editions of the competition. I am therefore a pioneer in this category. In 2021, I once again won the best video prize in the Wiki Loves Africa competition. See here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Africa_2021/Winners I won 2 prizes in total, which allowed me to acquire filming equipment for my short films, TV series, and feature film projects (currently in development). In 2022, due to work obligations, I was unable to submit my video within the competition deadline, but I still managed to make it available on Wikimedia Commons where it was chosen and published as the Media of the Day, in June 5, 2022. Watch the video here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Foyer-et-habitat-realisateur-bouba_kams-wiki-loves-africa-2022.webm During 2022 and 2023, I had the honor of being part of the international jury for the Wiki Loves Africa competition. See here my nomination as Jury 2022 and 2023: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Africa_2022/jury https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Africa_2023/jury
In 2023, with my collaborator Mansita Konaté, we organized the Wiki Loves Africa competition locally in Ivory Coast, with the aim of founding a new community made up of Ivorian videographers and filmmakers. The organization of the event was possible thanks to microfinancing from Wiki in Africa. Wiki in Africa really encouraged us in organizing the competition. During the event, we trained nearly 13 young people in videography and photography. Our group, Wiki Loves Africa Côte d'Ivoire Fan Club, won the prize for Best Video Collection in the WLA 2023 competition. See here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Africa_2023/Winners and here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Africa_2023/Results_and_best_practices#Key_specials See also here, a video summary of our training: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Wiki_Loves_Africa_2023_C%C3%B4te_d%27Ivoire_Fan_Club and here our report: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:PEG/Bouba_Kam%27s/Wiki_Loves_Africa_2023_C%C3%B4te_d%E2%80%99Ivoire_Fan_Club/Report Furthermore, during the Wikiconvention 2023 in Côte d'Ivoire, my collaborator Mansita Konaté, film producer, and I, director, have extensive experience in the field of cinema, television and audiovisual. We specialize in producing films, reports and television shows. It is this expertise that led us to cover the French-speaking Wiki Convention held in Abidjan. We wanted to put our know-how at the service of this event, and to this end, we produced two reports retracing the activities of the Wikiconvention 2023. We collaborated with young people that we had trained during our first participation as a local organizers of Wiki Loves Africa 2023. These young people demonstrated their skills during the French-speaking convention, putting our teachings into practice and capturing exceptional images that enhanced the event. About Mansita Konaté: Mansita Konaté started the Wiki Loves Africa adventure with me, since my very first participation in the Wiki loves Africa contest in 2020. She encouraged me to believe in myself and submit my video. This is how, with Mansita, I worked on the theme of the WLA 2020 contest and took the necessary shots. I was able to win WLA 2020 and WLA 2021, thanks to the corrections that Mansita Konaté made to my videos, during post-production.

In addition to her passion for Ivorian cinema, Mansita Konaté runs a blog that has more than 638,000 page views, with almost 200,000 unique users. Her blog is called Afriqueetoiles.

9. Who are the target participants and from which community? How will you engage participants before and during the activities? How will you follow up with participants after the activities? (required)

The contest is open to anyone in Côte d'Ivoire, Ivorian or not, Wikimedian or not, with videos and photos of Côte d'Ivoire related to the theme « From farm to plate » will be welcome.

Before and during the activities we will engage participants, as follows:

We will use word of mouth to reach our target audience. We will use the printed posters that will be displayed in town, in libraries, universities and schools. On the Internet: We will create and enhance social media pages, to reach our target participants (electronic posters, banners, etc.). We will also use traditional media such as local radios if possible. A Whatsapp group has already been created to allow new participants to register and to retain and interact with our former participants as well.

We will organize physical training workshops to help our participants. I myself and Mansita, will be actively involved in the training. After the activities, we will maintain frequent communication with participants via phone calls, sms, and setup training programs from time to time and encourage them to continue adding content through various wiki projects.
