6. What is the change you are trying to bring? What are the main challenges or problems you are trying to solve? Describe this change or challenges, as well as main approaches to achieve it. (required)

Wiki Loves Africa aims to increase the representation of Africa’s cultures and traditions on Wikimedia Commons and other platforms to tell the story about our the continent. This year's theme, "Farm to Plate" will give our community members and other creative individuals as well as professional photographers from Zimbabwe the chance to showcase the rich delicacies, food, cooking, restaurants, farm products, farm machines, agricultural practices, food transformation and processing in pictures, videos and audios. We plan to achieve these and more. In Zimbabwe we want to retain the previous participants and engage new participants to increase the Zimbabwe participation on the Wikimedia.

22 February - Opening session - Launch of the WLA campaign, Introduction to Wikipedia and creating accounts. 08 March - Do's and don'ts of Wikimedia and being familiar with the Wiki space, introduction to Wikimedia commons and photo hunt 19 April - Virtual meeting for assistance 03 May - How to take good pictures and using editing tools and photo hunt 17 May - Photo uploading 24 May - closing ceremony

National University of Science and Technology (NUST), United Theological College and Reformed Church University These are the 3 sites where we will be having our activities and the target are both staff and students. The campaign is open to photographers and all Zimbabweans who which to participate. The Previous participants are already planning on having clubs there that will make the follow up even after the campaign. Meet ups during the campaigns will have online and in-person sessions that will include live discussions, group activities and making the incentives of keep sakes will save as motivations.

17. What do you hope to learn from your work in this project or proposal? (required)

We hope to increase participation from new people who saw the last campaign we also want to learn a lot from the local photographers on producing the best pictures and farmers and food processors that will definitely tell us a lot about Zimbabwe so as to fill the gaps in the free knowledge encyclopedia - Wikipedia. Would like to learn about involving stakeholders that have to do with the campaign and these include, photographers, farmers and food industries.
