1. What is the change that you are trying to bring about and why is this important.

We are organizing the Wiki Loves Earth photo contest for the fourth time in Benin since 2019. The contest will start July 1, 2022 and would end on July 30, 2022. Wikimedia Commons projects and all other Wikimedia projects using images uploaded from Wikipedia and other sister projects. It is also an opportunity to cover other protected areas in Benin not yet covered in images This year we plan to focus on raising awareness of the right to environmental protection and above all how to achieve it for the protection of current humanity and especially the future generation. this year our specific awareness will be different from that of previous editions which were more global

2. Describe your main approaches or strategies to achieve these changes and why you think they will be effective.

Add more images about the natural heritage in Benin country and improve articles by integrating these images in their related articles or creating articles for non existing articles on occupations in our country. Recruit and train new editors through the various upload sessions and edit-a-thons live. Add freely licensed, and quality images of natural heritages of Benin to Wikimedia Commons. Engage existing editors to contribute to Commons and other sister projects through online sessions . Create new articles for images collected Previous editions have allowed us to be in contact with more professional photographers and partners in the fields of environmental protection and biodiversity. These will make it easier for us to cover the sites in terms of good quality images reusable on Wikipedia and sister projects

workshop about the events and how to participate Photowalks to gather random pictures Off line and online upload sessions training sessions Off line and online post contest integration edit-a-thon the photo walks are important to allow non-biodiversity specialists to understand the names of the species and to learn from the guide how to protect these species for the well-being of the environment. These Photo Walks will be different from previous editions because we cover sites not yet covered in photos on commons

The contest is organized by the Members of our User group from Benin, the voluntary work of the members We are searching sponsors to cover other Training sessions etc.) Professional and amateur photographers who helped us as in previous competitions Our team has accumulated capital experience in the organization of these events including the, Wiki Loves Earth 2019 - 2020-2021 Wiki Loves Monuments 2019-2020-2021, Wiki Loves Africa 2019-2020-2021-2022, WikiProject AfroCine Benin 2019-2020-2021, Wiki Loves Folklore 2021-2022, Wiki Wanted Page (WWP) Folklore 2021 and many other projects with very good results

During our activities, we make sure to remind our members of all the principles and policies of the UCOC and the convivial space.

We will inform existing members through the Benese groups and associations mailing list, amd members will be advised to share the information within their social circles. The Twitter and Facebook accounts of the group will be used to invite the public to participate in the Contest. Our social media platforms will also be constantly used to talk about the project and the activities going on. Marketing flyers will also be printed, in order to get people to participate and to attend the workshops.
