Part 2: Learning

[edit]

4. In your application, you outlined some learning questions. What did you learn from these learning questions when you implemented your project? How do you hope to use this learnings in the future? You can recall these learning questions below. (required)

You can recall these learning questions below: We plan to evaluate the results of Wiki Loves Earth 2024 in Kazakhstan to understand how can we bring more participants to the contest in next year and implement this data on other countries in Central Asia.

Making the local round for the 3rd time in a row we noticed that the total number of photographs is lower every year and it can be alarming. But then we've noticed that number of quality images remains alike every year. That means that while number of photographs decreases, overall quality increases. That can happen because of retention of some skilled photographers participating in the contest every year.

5. Did anything unexpected or surprising happen when implementing your activities? This can include both positive and negative situations. What did you learn from those experiences? (required)

It's interesting to see that some participants of previous years are improving their photographing skills every year uploading more and more stunning images.

6. What is your plan to share your project learnings and results with other community members? If you have already done it, describe how. (required)

We have communicated it in the community chats and are planning to make a session on WLE and WLM rounds in Central Asia at the upcoming Central Asian WikiCon 2025.
