The change we are aiming to bring through this project is a significant enhancement in the quality and quantity of photographic contributions from Southeast Nigeria for Wiki Loves Earth 2025 and also the active participation of professional photographers in the region.

Over the past six years, while the campaign has gathered impressive participation across Nigeria, Southeast Nigeria has lagged in both the organization of photo walks and quality of images submitted from professional photographers compared to other regions in Nigeria. We also intend to build a community of professional photographers in the region.

The goal of this project is to elevate this region's representation in the campaign by organizing structured photo walks that not only encourage participation but also foster quality contributions that showcase the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Southeast Nigeria.

To tackle these challenges, we will implement a multifaceted approach: 1. Organized Photo Walks: We will create a series of well-structured photo walk events in all the 5 states of south east Nigeria simultaneously bringing together both amateur and professional photographers. 2. Professional Collaboration: We will collaborate with various professional photography body in the region for access to various photographers within their network. 3. Awareness Campaigns: We will conduct outreach programs to educate the local community about the significance of participating in Wiki Loves Earth and how their contributions can help represent Southeast Nigeria on a global stage through a 2days upload session and training workshop at Abakaliki, Ebonyi state. 4. Incentives for Participation: We’ll establish recognition and rewards for participants, including opportunities for exhibitions or features of their work, contest prizes which will further motivate individuals to contribute high-quality images.

7. What are the planned activities? (required) Please provide a list of main activities. You can also add a link to the public page for your project where details about your project can be found.
