6. What is the change you are trying to bring? What are the main challenges or problems you are trying to solve? Describe this change or challenges, as well as main approaches to achieve it. (required)

Diversification: The foremost changes we're focusing on is to increase and manage freely licensed and high quality images of natural heritages in Nepal, that will be contributed to Wikimedia Commons for free usage and spread its importance by its utilisation in Wikipedia articles and other sister projects.

There are still 1000s of articles which lack proper graphical and textual contents in Wikipedia and its sister projects. The major challenge is to identify and gradually fill those articles with graphical contents via this event.

Our major approaches & strategies are to achieve a high number of quality and productive photographs of natural heritages and protected areas in different categories. With a theme of "Right person at right job" we're deploying photographers as our executive team members for this event. Along with that like previous years we're approaching photography institutions and organizations as our event associates which helps both of us to create better contents and exposures.

7. What are the planned activities? (required) Please provide a list of main activities. You can also add a link to the public page for your project where details about your project can be found. Alternatively, you can upload a timeline document. When the activities include partnerships, include details about your partners and planned partnerships.

9. Who are the target participants and from which community? How will you engage participants before and during the activities? How will you follow up with participants after the activities? (required)

All active contributors to Wikimedia projects and Wikimedia-affiliated user groups operating in Nepal will be our primary target audience for both participation and implementation. In addition, we will organize outreach and promotional activities in colleges and photography organizations across the country to encourage broader participation.

To strengthen engagement before and during the event, we will conduct awareness and promotional sessions through both online platforms and in-person meet-ups ahead of the main campaign. During the event period, we will keep participants actively involved through orientation sessions, photo walks, and photo rides. Following the event, we will host a photo edit-a-thon to curate submissions and ensure that the contributed photographs are properly integrated into relevant Wikipedia articles.

We will also continue awareness-raising efforts for both familiar and new audiences through online and offline channels, covering key information such as the event timeline, licensing, terms of use, and correct content placement. Throughout all planned activities, we will prioritize recognizing and appreciating contributors, partners, and jury members by providing the necessary operational support, encouragement, and motivation.
