R. If you would like, please share any websites or social media accounts that your group or organization has.

1. What is the change that you are trying to bring about and why is this important.

In line with the mandate of the Wiki Loves Earth Campaign as an international photographic competition to take pictures of local natural heritage, landmarks, geographic and natural features in participant's respective countries, this project aims to bridge the knowledge gap of parks and gardens located within the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria. This project hopes to gather images and information on these parks to be made available as open knowledge for local and global use on Wikipedia, Wiki Commons and Wikivoyage.

2. Describe your main approaches or strategies to achieve these changes and why you think they will be effective.

The strategy approach to be adopted in carrying out this project would majorly be in the form of environmental journalism. Experienced editors with background in geography, environmental advocacy and photography would train and engage new editors in this community to join the global campaign of contributing to free knowledge by ensuring that quality images of natural heritage sites, geographic features and landmarks which meet the standard of commons upload would be captured and used on wiki projects. The project aims to enlighten and introduce photographers within the capital territory to the advantages and relevance of wiki commons to free knowledge. Furthermore, following a list of identified parks and gardens within the locale, editors would be made to gather relevant information which would be used on Wikipedia and Wikivoyage in a bid to contribute to knowledge on these elements and foster knowledge equity among the people. This would be done with the guidance of the facilitators who have organized various projects under the movement.

3. What are the activities you will be developing and delivering as part of these approaches or strategies?

This project poses as a photo tour that advances the objectives of Wiki Loves Earth through capturing and promoting images of landmarks, geographical features and natural heritage, on the free encyclopedia and wiki commons to make the knowledge of these features available and accessible to all for use and learning. Facilitators would host an introductory meet-up to intimate the participants on the basics and essence of Wiki Loves Earth, followed by a 4-day photo tour of identified parks, gardens and geographical locations, then another day for participants to learn about the basics of editing Wikipedia and upload their pictures in a bid to join the global contest and become contributors to free knowledge.

4. Are your activities part of a Wikimedia movement campaign or event? If so, please select the relevant campaign below. If so, please select all the relevant campaigns from the list below. If "other", please state which.
