Despite Pakistan possessing an extremely rich cultural heritage, the number of freely licensed images related to the cultural heritage of Pakistan that is present on Wikimedia Commons is very low. So I want to make a contribution towards bringing a change regarding cultural heritage in Pakistan that will eventually help the people to know about Wikipedia projects, especially Wiki Loves Folklore, Feminism & Folklore. I will also train people through a training workshop, how to upload images under a freely licensed on Wikimedia Commons for the Wiki Loves Folklore contest and I will encourage them to document and share their rich cultural heritage with the world through Wikimedia Commons; so that together with them we are able to document our cultural heritage on Wiki commons.

The main problems or challenges that would be solved are lack of awareness among the people about the Wikimedia Foundation movement, Wikipedia and its sister projects because a lot of people are unaware unless they get relevant information, guidance, encouragement and proper training concerning Wikipedia and its projects. Through this project Wiki Loves Folklore People who are not aware of how they can share their rich cultural heritage with the world through Wikimedia Commons, Wikipedia and its projects may be able to contribute and participate in future projects, hence the little contribution of Pakistanis in Wikepedia and its sister projects may be enhanced. In those circumstances, by this proposal and this strategy, I have talked to my community members, I would like to invite my fellow Wikimedians who are willing to collaborate and motivate others as well to take part in the free knowledge movement, especially about the need for commons to represent the diversities contained in the pillars of Wikimedia Commons.
