L’édition 2025 de Wiki Loves Monuments au Togo s’est illustrée par une participation active et des résultats très encourageants. Le concours a été lancé le 20 septembre et a immédiatement été suivi d’une séance de formation destinée à renforcer les capacités des participants en matière de prise de vues et de contribution sur Wikimedia Commons. Un photowalk a été organisé dans la région Maritime, permettant aux participants d’explorer plusieurs sites historiques et de réaliser des prises de vue directement sur le terrain. Au total, 28 personnes ont pris part à cette édition et ont démontré un réel engagement tout au long de la période du concours, menant au téléversement de 925 images documentant les monuments togolais entre la période du 20 septembre au 31 octobre 2025. À la fin du processus national, dix photos ont été sélectionnées pour représenter le Togo au niveau international. Le succès de cette édition repose principalement sur trois éléments que sont: la formation initiale, qui a permis d’améliorer la qualité technique des contributions ; le photowalk, qui a stimulé la production d’un volume conséquent d’images pertinentes ; et l’appui continu fourni aux participants.

You can recall these learning questions below: Nous aimerions grâce à ce projet découvrir la beauté et l'histoire des monuments du Togo en particulier celles de la région maritime.

La mise en œuvre du projet a permis de mieux connaître et documenter la richesse des monuments de la région Maritime, tout en constatant les efforts de rénovation réalisés sur certains sites. À l’avenir, ces apprentissages serviront à orienter de nouvelles actions vers une sensibilisation plus large des communautés locales, un élargissement de la couverture géographique du concours à d’autres régions du pays, ainsi qu’un renforcement du dialogue avec les institutions chargées du patrimoine afin de combiner effort de documentation, mise en valeur et conservation sur le long terme.

5. Did anything unexpected or surprising happen when implementing your activities? This can include both positive and negative situations. What did you learn from those experiences? (required)

Au cours de la mise en œuvre du projet, quelques situations inattendues ont été rencontrées. Lors d’une sortie photo, l’accès à une zone regroupant plus les sites du quartier administratif ont été temporairement fermé en raison de la présence du Président du Conseil, ce qui a empêché la prise de photos et a nécessité de reprogrammer la visite à une date ultérieure. Par ailleurs, l’accès à certains sites touristiques de grande valeur s’est révélé payant, ce qui constitue une contrainte pour la documentation libre du patrimoine. Malgré ces imprévus, l’ensemble des activités s’est déroulé normalement, et ces expériences nous permettrons de mieux anticiper à l’avenir les questions d’autorisation, de planification et de coordination avec les institutions locales.

Les enseignements et résultats du projet ont été partagés avec la communauté lors de la cérémonie officielle de clôture, au cours de laquelle les images gagnantes au niveau national ont été présentées. Les photos sélectionnées ont également été publiées sur la page internationale du concours ainsi que sur les différents canaux de communication et réseaux sociaux, permettant ainsi de diffuser largement les résultats auprès de la communauté Wikimedia et du grand public.
