Part 2: Learning
4. In your application, you outlined some learning questions. What did you learn from these learning questions when you implemented your project? How do you hope to use this learnings in the future? You can recall these learning questions below. (required)
You can recall these learning questions below: Learning objectives 1. The main objective is to value the reception of this initiative in Ghanzi district, the future of Wikimedia projects in the district, the passion and the interests of participants on this event
1. As this was our first project in the district there was a low reception in the districts only a few people registered to attend the physical training. 2. The few candidates who attended training showed much interest and passion on the project 3. Some of the participants were not comfortable being taken photos, we had to respect their privacy. 4. I believe if we can have more Wikipedia events in the district the interest will grow and we can begin to introduce Wikipedia in different languages which are spoken in the district. 5. All we need is to unearth the motivation and stick to it and this community will grow beyond reasonable doubt
5. Did anything unexpected or surprising happen when implementing your activities? This can include both positive and negative situations. What did you learn from those experiences? (required)
We had some delays there and there which resulted in starting the project late We were also operating under a very tight budget which also lead to some delays in completing the project on time and submitting the report on time I have learnt that next time i will have to prioritize well and do things that matters most on the project. We had an exciting physical session of which the participants were very much active and all of them were very new to the platform i have learnt that we need to figure out a way to keep them active and interested
6. What is your plan to share your project learnings and results with other community members? If you have already done it, describe how. (required)
I plan to write a diff post about my experiences
